Sackboy: A Big Adventure (2020)
A 3D platformer game set in the cutesy land of Craftworld. Features many different levels, each with their own gimmick and theme. Supports 4-player online co-op gameplay at any time.
- Created and managed system that drove our "music levels" featuing objects, characters and level geometry moving and dancing to pop music, with full network support.
- Worked on a strike team investigating and experimenting with prototype next-gen features and hardware.
- Developed designer prototype blueprints into fully animating, networked and performant level objects.
Crackdown 3 (2019)
An action platformer/shooter set in a futuristic dystopian city, featuring sandbox-like gameplay, over-the-top weapons, and many map-wide systems that can make each gameplay session unique.
- Was part of a strike team with a senior designer for implementing a map-wide reinforcements manager that had to summon enemies to wherever the player might be.
- Created a generalised side-missions system; this was used for foot/car time attacks but had the potential to be extended as part of a post-release update.
- Implemented collectibles backend that scaled to about 1500 items per player.
- Assisted in optimising designer blueprints.
- Also worked briefly on weapons, minimap and cutscene features.
